Job summary

The State of Hawaiʻi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) II to provide practical nursing care and perform related technical work. The position may act as in charge or team leader for intermediate care patients on the evening or night shift, and may supervise para-medical assistants and other unlicensed staff.

A Hawaii LPN license is required at the time of application; note that RN licensure does not substitute.

Qualifications

• Must hold Hawaii LPN license at time of application.
• RN license does not qualify as substitution for LPN.
• Specialized experience: 1 year as LPN/LVN/RN performing nursing care under supervision, comparable to LPN I.
• Substitution allowed as described in minimum qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides a variety of practical nursing care and related technical work; may serve as in charge or team leader for intermediate care patients on the evening or night shift; may supervise para-medical assistants and other unlicensed personnel; performs other related duties as assigned.
