Job summary

Kenwood Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Day Shift Full Time to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The role requires adherence to current standards and effective communication with the nursing team.

The LPN will complete admissions, administer medications as ordered, and participate in care planning to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, laws, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Complete and file required records upon admission, transfer and discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental staff.
• Monitor safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
