Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Michigan in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our growing team. The role focuses on accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration with medical staff to support senior care patients.

You will ensure correct medication preparation, review orders, and resolve drug interaction or allergy concerns while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. required.
• State Pharmacist License required without restrictions.
• Experience with pharmacy operations systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
• Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly.
• Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies and other factors.
• Interpret prescription orders, using professional judgment for safety and legality.
• Adhere to Federal and State Board regulations and compounding guidelines.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients and healthcare providers.
• Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below par.
• Oversee technicians and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Log all medication error occurrences.
