Job summary

Medline is seeking a Lead Driver to operate a straight truck and deliver life-saving medical products to local customers. You will load at the Medline Facility, drive to multiple destinations, and ensure timely, safe deliveries while building positive relationships with customers.

The role offers Monday–Friday, 9pm–6am, with home daily on local routes, updated equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience Class A CDL; Licensed to operate assigned vehicle.
• Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Stable driving record with no serious violations.

Responsibilities

• Encourage success of the local transportation team.
• Serve as a liaison between the local transportation team and management.
• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A or Class B vehicle on a delivery route.
• Abide by safety regulations and perform safety checks.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to customers and documentation upon delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch to adjust routes/schedules as needed.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs per regulations.
• Perform vehicle inspections for safe operation and fuel levels.
