Job summary

Butler Creek Animal Hospital in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will deliver skilled medical care under the supervision of a veterinarian and help guide nursing, anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and dentistry.

Qualifications

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory veterinary technician role preferred
  • Strong surgical experience, including intubation, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and drug calculations
  • Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and full-mouth dental radiography
  • Strong client education skills with a focus on wellness, preventive care, surgery, and chronic disease management
  • Experience training and mentoring Veterinary Assistants and other team members
  • Interest in mentoring veterinary technician students working toward certification
  • Ability to delegate tasks and coordinate the VA team to ensure efficient patient care
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple patients and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend positive changes
  • Willingness to step in and assist wherever needed across medical, boarding, and grooming operations
  • Passion for providing high-quality patient care and creating a positive experience for pets and their families
  • Commitment to staying current with veterinary medicine, techniques, and best practices
Your Impact as a Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician

The Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician provides skilled medical care under the direction of a veterinarian while supporting hospital operations through oversight of the technical team. This role serves as a vital point of contact for our medical support staff, helping to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient workflows, and the consistent application of medical protocols. As a Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to your teammates while fostering a collaborative and supportive hospital culture.
