Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking a Licensed Surveyor for our Staunton, VA office. The role focuses on managing projects and client accounts, performing design surveying with Civil 3D and CADD tools, and delivering high-quality results across boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.

The candidate will oversee project accounting, schedules and budgets while maintaining strong client relationships and cross-selling services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Surveying/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Must be licensed (L.S.) in one or more states where Timmons Group conducts business.
Has 5 to 10 years of surveying experience.
Working knowledge of Civil 3D software.
Working knowledge of creating Machine Control Models.
Working knowledge of GPS/RTK technology.
Understanding of project accounting and ability to manage schedule and budgets for multiple projects.
Experience in client development and supervision of field crews.

Responsibilities

Manage the successful delivery of assigned projects and client accounts.
Market and develop clients, ensure technical quality, profitability, and on-time delivery.
Maintain superior relationships with clients and cross-sell Timmons Group services.
Manage multiple projects—mid-sized, small, or larger—simultaneously.
Perform design surveying using Civil 3D, modeling, and CADD technology.
