St. Joseph's Center in Scranton, PA is seeking a Lead Laundry Worker to guide the laundry team and ensure timely, high-quality care for residents. You will assign daily tasks, oversee washing, sorting, and folding, and manage carts across the facility with strict infection-control practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of laundry experience, preferably in a healthcare, long-term care or institutional setting.
• Experience or training in the proper maintenance of laundry equipment.

Responsabilités

• Act as lead worker in the laundry room, assigning daily tasks and ensuring work is completed to standard.
• Wash, sort, pre-treat, dry and fold laundry, linens and residents’ clothing with care.
• Load, deliver and collect laundry carts across the Main Center and related areas.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to keep areas clean and safe.
• Maintain laundry equipment and monitor supplies; report problems promptly.
• Train new staff and keep management updated on operations.
