DeHamer Landscaping in Michigan is seeking a Construction Landscape Foreman to lead on-site landscape installations, grading, drainage, and retaining wall construction. You will direct crews, ensure safety, and maintain quality across projects.

The role requires hands-on leadership of 2–5+ team members, effective communication with clients and management, and a focus on delivering projects on schedule while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in landscape construction with emphasis on softscape work.
• Crew leadership or foreman experience preferred.
• Experience with grading, drainage, planting, sod, and retaining wall construction.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, grades, and elevations.
• Experience operating landscape construction equipment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage a landscape construction crew of 2–5+ team members.
• Plan and coordinate daily job-site activities based on project plans and schedules.
• Read and interpret landscape construction drawings, layout plans, grades, and elevations.
• Perform and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control.
• Install and oversee softscape and retaining wall installations.
• Operate and train crew in equipment usage and safety.
