Job summary

The Bruce Company in Verona, WI is seeking a Landscape Construction Crew Leader to oversee daily work on landscape construction projects, directing and organizing tasks for crew members to ensure quality and timely completion.

You will lead field crews, read and interpret design plans, and perform planting and installation of hardscapes, irrigation, and seasonal duties including snow removal, while upholding safety and company policies. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of landscape construction experience.
• Foreman or crew leader experience preferred.
• Valid United States Driver’s License required.
• Experience operating landscape equipment (loaders, bobcats, skid steers) helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret design plans.
• Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and landscape products.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, organize, and oversee all aspects of Landscape Construction sites to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Lead by example, guiding Crew Members on policies and procedures.
• Identify and address issues at the work site in coordination with supervisors.
• Prepare daily trucks and equipment, secure materials for jobs.
• Plant trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials; install mulch.
• Install hardscape, water features, lighting, and irrigation systems.
• Perform labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, raking, sweeping, pruning, watering.
• Operate equipment like trucks, Bobcats, compactors, trenchers, masonry saws.
• Use hand tools (wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes).
• Assist with snow removal during winter months.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
