Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee daily operations of multiple laboratory departments. You will supervise AP personnel, CLS, CPT, and lab assistants, and work with the Director/Manager on budgeting and staffing to meet department goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Biological Science, at least 5 years in hospital labs and 3 years in supervision, plus California CLS Generalist licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science.
• 5 years technical experience in hospital laboratory environment.
• 3 years Supervisory experience in hospital laboratory.
• California CLS Generalist license - required.
• Experience with budgetary issues in the work unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides management support and coordinates daily operations of multiple laboratory departments.
• Supervises daily work activity of AP personnel, CLS, CPT, lab assistants of those departments.
• Assists Director/Manager with operational planning and provides daily directions to achieve department objectives.
• Manages supply orders and inventory to minimize waste and reduce expense.
• Ensures facilities represent The Sharp Experience and maintains high quality and safety standards.
