Job summary

FlightSafety Defense Corporation is recruiting a Lead API Developer to implement JSE/SCARS interfaces across the WST and Training Systems portfolio. You will work under the JSE Architect to validate integrations, support cybersecurity controls, and ensure compliance with RMF and ITAR requirements.

The role emphasizes hands‑on simulation software development, testing, and documentation, with travel to government test events throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in simulation software development, system integration, or distributed systems engineering.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for simulation software development.
• Familiarity with distributed simulation protocols (HLA, DIS, or TENA) and API-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Integrate software components connecting FlightSafety training devices to the JSE via GRID network protocol.
• Implement message production/consumption logic using GSI SDK and verify against ICD.
• Execute GSI test harness tests and support packet capture validation of data flow.
• Support SCARS compliance activities and verification for aerodynamic models and RMF/ITAR requirements.
• Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines, version control, automated testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with JSE/SCARS architects to interpret documentation and implement designs.
