Job summary

We Power America is hiring electricians in Alton, IL to support commercial and industrial projects. We are especially seeking journey level and supervisory level workers for high-profile assignments across the area.

All positions include great pay and 100% employer-paid benefits, with overtime opportunities and training to upgrade skills. Work involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards on-site.

Qualifications

Experience with commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Strong knowledge of electrical code compliance.

Responsibilities

Installation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings.
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues with appropriate tools.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for installations and upgrades.
Upgrade existing systems to meet new requirements and improve performance.
Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs.
