Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Principal Java Microservices Architect — AI & Agentic Platforms to lead architecture, design, and implementation of our core distributed microservices ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise Java microservices and AI orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities include hands-on development with Java 17+/21+, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud, plus experience with ADK, MCP, and modern AI application architectures.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in microservices architecture, system design, or technical leadership.
• Hands-on with Java (17/21), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• Knowledge of TypeScript and Python for AI framework bindings and scripting.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed backend design.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of core distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Hands-on development with Java, Spring, and cloud-native stacks.
• Collaborate on AI agentic backend applications and AI-enabled workflows.
• Drive high-throughput, scalable backend systems and observability.
