Job summary

Covetus is seeking an experienced software engineer located in the United States, specifically Town of Florida. This hybrid role requires strong expertise in Java 8, J2EE, and Python technologies. Job description

Requirements

• Experience with Java 8, J2EE, React JS, RDBMS, Spring Boot 5 or higher, Microservice architecture, and Agile approach.
• Experience in Java and Python technologies.
• Design, implement, and optimize Python-based orchestration framework.
• Manipulate data from various sources and formats such as flat files, relational databases, non-relational databases, XML, JSON, etc.
• Develop robust async architectures supporting concurrent reasoning, tool use, and long-running workflows across distributed compute environments.
• Integrate LLMs with MCP servers, vector databases, and observability systems for adaptive agent behavior.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability through rigorous testing, type safety (mypy/pydantic), and production-grade CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate on system design and platform evolution, contributing to abstractions, developer SDKs, and runtime instrumentation for agent lifecycle management.
• Experience with agentic memory management (long-term and short-term memory).
• Familiarity with CI/CD.
• Develop APIs, services, and ETL applications using Java or Python.
• Design and build microservices-based architecture for real-time reports and analytics solutions.
• Database design and build for applications using SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
• Build/run CI/CD and containerized deployments, including Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, monitoring & logging tools such as AppDynamics, Logstash, and ELK.
• Experience working with code-building tools and source repositories.
• Hands-on experience with development tools and testing frameworks.
• Write unit and integration test cases for code coverage.
