Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Lead Janitor to coordinate cleaning and maintenance activities for commercial facilities in dry and cold environments. This part-time role offers morning shifts with weekly pay and a starting hourly wage of $15.00.

You will lead janitorial staff, assign tasks, and ensure standards are met while maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Prior experience is helpful, training provided.

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Lead Janitor. The Lead Janitor coordinates the activities of employees engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial and industrial establishments within dry and cold environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assign tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards
• Oversee floor and carpet care employees
• Issue supplies and equipment
• Perform duties of janitorial staff
• Appraise employee performance
• Address customer complaints and resolves problems

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Ability to speak, read, and write multiple languages fluently
• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
