Job summary

Collins Aerospace Global Security Services (GSS) seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security activities for classified information systems. You will drive RMF/JSIG compliance, perform continuous monitoring, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure audit‑readiness.

Requirements include DoD Secret clearance on day one, IAM Level I, and 5+ years of relevant experience. The role is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA with comprehensive benefits and a strong security

Qualifications

• University degree with 5+ years of related experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• U.S. Citizenship required for access to the program/contract.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required on day one.
• IAM Level I certification per DoD 8570/8140.
• Experience with enterprise cybersecurity monitoring, auditing and RMF/JSIG/NIST guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISSO‑level cybersecurity activities under ISSM oversight.
• Prepare systems for inspections, audits, and assessments.
• Review data transfers and user access requests for security compliance.
• Perform advanced log analysis and identify risk trends.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation and artifacts.
• Track POA&Ms and ensure timely remediation of findings.
• Review system changes for security impact in CCBs.
• Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Industrial Security teams.
• Monitor metrics and vulnerability trends for risk reporting.
• Communicate security posture to ISSM and leadership.
