Job summary

David J. Frank Landscape Contracting in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Lead Irrigation Service Technician for full-time work on indoor/outdoor projects. You will lead installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, coordinate field crews, and ensure high-quality workmanship to meet client expectations.

Preferred candidates have two+ years irrigation production experience, a related degree, and a driver’s license. Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of irrigation production experience in the field
• Minimum one year of irrigation production experience in the field (pro-rated with advanced education)
• Two or four-year degree from an accredited college in irrigation or related area preferred
• Knowledge of construction, horticulture and/or landscaping helpful
• Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) preferred
• Bilingual - Spanish a plus
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable MVR
• Must successfully complete a preplacement physical (lifting 50 pounds) and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair irrigation systems.
• Execute timely servicing and quality of work at all customer locations where irrigation work is done.
• Layout and install new or renovated irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems to determine repair needs.
• Pull and fit pipes for irrigation systems.
• Set sprinkler heads and valve boxes.
• Test irrigation systems for proper functioning.
• Purchase parts required to repair, create, or renovate irrigation systems while maintaining accurate inventory and strict cost controls.
• Gather and update historical data for each account regarding water sources and mainline location.
• Activate and deactivate irrigation systems according to seasonal priorities or pre-established schedules.
• Partner with customer by suggesting watering schedules and tactics to reduce water usage and costs.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
• Ensure irrigation jobs are managed within budget to meet financial metrics.
• Adjust irrigation schedules to maximize capacity and efficiency.
• Review and monitor equipment maintenance programs and upkeep of vehicles used to service clients.
• Manage upkeep of irrigation systems in designated area.
• Direct laborers to where needed on irrigation projects/jobs.

• Senior level Irrigation Service Techniciansneed two yearsor moreof irrigation productionexperience in the field ensuring client satisfaction with quality outcomes in accordance with our production standards.
• Minimum one year of irrigation production experience in the field (pro-rated with advanced education).
• Two or four-year degree from an accredited college in irrigation or related area preferred.
• Possess knowledge of construction, horticulture and/or landscaping is helpful.
• Possess credentials as Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) preferred.
• Bilingual - proficient/fluent in Spanish is a plus.
• Required to possessand maintain valid, regular driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record(MVR).
• Required to successfully complete a preplacement physical (to include lifting 50 pounds) and drug screen.

• Communicate with customers on a routine basis to ensure satisfaction with service and solve problems to foster a positive, long-term relationship and discuss additional opportunities.
• Ensure irrigation jobs are managed within budget to meet or exceed all required financial performance metrics.
• Adjust irrigation schedules to maximize capacity and efficiency of workflow.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist in solving work problems.
• Review and monitor equipment maintenance programs and upkeep of vehicles used to service clients in designated area.
• Manage upkeep of irrigation systems in designated area.
• Partners with and directs laborers to where needed on irrigation projects/jobs.

Compensation:

• Weekly pay (compensation for this position is based on industry background and supervisory experience for "Lead Irrigation Service Technician" levelsI - III).
