L3Harris Technologies invites applications for Lead, Integration/Test Engineer in Canoga Park, CA. The role leads testing across multiple product lines for rocket engine and missile defense programs, emphasizing safety and high-priority task management.

Required are a Bachelor’s in Engineering with extensive experience, or a graduate degree with senior experience; a strong background in test methods and data acquisition is expected.

• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs component testing in pressure, water/gas flow, vibration/shock, spin and pump tests.
• Develop test operations methodologies and processes with test operations teams.
• Design test equipment, fixtures and test systems.
• Create and maintain test procedures, specifications and schematics.
• Direct test technicians, analyze/validate results and write reports.
• Maintain test facility readiness and procurement activities.
• Support process monitoring, metrics, improvement projects and CAPA.

Job Description:

The Test Engineer performs a variety of test engineering tasks on components and sub systems from various product lines including support of in-line production component testing and experimental/developmental testing on fast-paced liquid rocket engine development programs and Missile Defense programs. This individual must be able to work productively in an environment with multiple, simultaneous high priority assignments, and they must possess a relentless approach to safety.

Essential Functions:

• Under limited supervision, plans and directs component testing in the fields of pressure test, water flow test, gas flow test, vibration and shock test, spin test, and pump test.
• Working with the test operations team and internal customers to develop test operations methodologies and processes.
• Design test equipment, fixtures and test systems.
• Create and maintain test operations procedures, specifications and schematics.
• Direct test technicians, analyze/validate test results, and write test reports.
• Plans and directs test facility and test equipment maintenance, repair, and procurement activities to assure test facility/equipment readiness.
• Supports process monitoring and improvement activities, including: metrics charting, analysis and improvement project management; defect/mishap investigation and corrective action management.
• Designs and oversee fabrication of data acquisition systems and minor electronics.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 5+ Years testing experience in related field.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of California is $122,000 - $227,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
