Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Lead, Integration & Test Engineer to own system integration, testing, and operational adoption of complex communications systems. You will configure hardware/software, diagnose issues, and train users for mission-ready operations.

Essential functions include leading cross-functional teams through installation, upgrades, and training, maintaining readiness of diving systems, and occasional travel to support integration efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of related experience, or Graduate Degree with 7+ years.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of related experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance is required.

Job Description:

Own and Lead system integration, testing, and operational adoption of complex communications systems. You will configure hardware and software platforms, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and turn system updates into practical, hands-on training for users. Success in this role means reliable, mission-ready systems and users who can operate them with confidence. You will work closely with design teams, customers, and cross-functional partners in a fast-moving environment where technical judgment and clear communication matter.

Essential Functions:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through the manufacturing, installation, commissioning, refurbishment, and operation of saturation and surface diving systems.
• Maintained operational readiness of saturation diving systems and associated life-support equipment.
• Build, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate new and existing hardware packages to roll out upgrades, deploy applications, and enhance system capabilities.
• Take full responsibility of the hardware configuration process, master the system inside and out, and train others to use it effectively.
• Support day-to-day training system operations and keep everything running smoothly.
• See training classes through from start to finish, making sure participants leave confident and capable.
• Travel occasionally to support training and system integration at different locations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Operation of saturation diving systems.
• US Military Training Certifications are a big plus.
• Experience leading teams through audits, shipyard projects, system upgrades, facility operations, and emergency-response readiness.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and their leadership teams.
• Proven ability to lead small, diverse teams in fast-paced environments while staying humble and collaborative.
• Strong communicator in both speaking and writing, with solid skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience explaining complex technical topics to different audiences, whether that's fellow engineers, program managers, or customer leadership.
• Train-the-trainer certifications are highly valued.
