Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Melbourne, Florida, is seeking an experienced IPT Lead to drive test procedures and systems engineering activities for a high-stakes government program.

The role requires a TS clearance and a strong background in communications, RF systems, and complex networked defense platforms. You will coordinate across government customers and contractors while delivering on demanding timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 7+ years of related experience.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in communications, RF systems, or complex networked defense platforms.
  • Experience with government contracts and multiple stakeholders.
  • Python scripting and automation for test frameworks, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Git-based CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments.
  • Kubernetes/Helm, Ansible/Terraform, deployment tools, or AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of test procedures as Integrated Product Team lead, coordinating with systems engineering.
  • Manage a fast-paced government contract environment across contractor teams, government customers, and coalition partners.
  • Respond to changing customer needs while maintaining technical discipline and meeting timelines.
  • Oversee interface control and requirements flow-down across distributed teams and multiple contract vehicles.
  • Communicate regularly with IPTs, senior leaders, program management, contractors, and customers.
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead tiger teams to resolve risks and issues.
  • Translate test results and system performance data into executive-level briefings for senior stakeholders.
  • Define requirements with systems engineers and ensure testability.
  • Draft RTVMs and lead verification and validation activities.

Requirements
Must have:
  • We require a bachelors degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree with at least 7 years of related experience; in lieu of a degree, we require 13 or more years of comparable experience.
  • We require an active U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred experience includes communications, RF systems, or complex networked defense platforms.
  • Preferred experience with telecommunication test equipment, such as central office, optical, TDM, or IP systems.
  • Preferred experience working on complex government contracts with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, government customers, and military leadership.
  • Preferred experience with government acquisition programs, requirements management, and interface control documentation.
  • Preferred Python scripting and automation experience for test frameworks, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Preferred experience with Git-based CI/CD pipelines and version control in DevSecOps environments.
  • Preferred experience with Kubernetes/Helm, Ansible/Terraform, deployment automation tools, or AWS.

  • We track progress and delivery pace using JIRA or similar tools for government reporting.
  • We create initial test cases during work package creation and ensure proper process and documentation standards are followed.
  • We develop and execute test procedures, then report results to management and customers.
  • We identify test risks and opportunities and escalat them to program leadership.
  • We mentor and develop team members technically and professionally.
  • We review customer work package RFPs and develop test-support response proposals.
  • We drive technical issues to closure using disciplined engineering processes.
