Job summary

Vantage Consulting USA is seeking a Lead Building Automation Installer to oversee field installation activities across commercial construction projects in Nebraska. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will mentor installers, install BAS components, and drive projects from start to handover.

You will read electrical schematics, coordinate daily activities, ensure safety and quality, and support commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience installing BAS on commercial construction projects.
• Journeyman Electrician licence or equivalent trade qualification.
• Leadership experience supervising installation teams.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of BAS installers on active projects.

Are you an experienced Building Automation Installer looking to take the next step into a leadership role? A well-established building automation systems integrator is seeking a Lead Building Automation Installer to oversee field installation activities across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, working hands-on in the field, and delivering high-quality BAS installations from project start through completion.

The Role

• Lead and mentor a team of Building Automation installers on active construction projects
• Install Building Automation Systems (BAS), including controllers, panels, sensors, actuators, and associated low-voltage wiring
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings
• Coordinate daily installation activities and provide technical guidance to field teams
• Ensure installations are completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Support commissioning activities through point-to-point verification and system testing
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers throughout project delivery
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity on-site
• Complete installation documentation and support project handover activities

About You

• Proven experience installing Building Automation Systems on commercial construction projects
• Previous experience leading or supervising installation teams
• Strong understanding of low-voltage controls wiring and field device installation
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Experience installing BAS from the ground up rather than replacing pre-configured equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Journeyman Electrician licence or equivalent trade qualification
• Experience with Alerton Building Automation Systems
• Experience with other major Building Automation platformsPrevious experience working across commercial, healthcare, education, or institutional facilities
