Our precision manufacturing client near Springfield, MA is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector on first or second shift. Direct-hire position with competitive pay and full benefits. The role requires experience with manual metrological devices and AS9100/ISO9001 environments.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; vo-tech training a big plus.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in manual inspection of close-toleranced parts in an AS9100/ISO9001 environment.
• Ability to use manual inspection tools such as surface plates, calipers, micros, gauges, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and operation sheets.
• Ability to write non-conformance reports
• Good attention to detail and a focus on precision
• Must have a solid working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Responsibilities

• Analyze any problems, initiating corrective action, and reporting results to Quality Manager.

Candidates should be familiar with manual metrological devices such surface plates, calipers, micros, gauges, etc. Responsibilities include perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections. Qualified candidates should have minimum 3 years' experience working on complex precision machined components

Work Week

• 40 hrs plus OT available

Shifts

• 1st: Mon-Fri 7:00AM - 5:30 PM
• 2nd: Mon-Thu 7:00PM - 7:00AM / Friday 5:00PM - 11:00PM (15% shift differential)
