Job summary

Cascade Engineering in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Process Engineer to lead the injection molding function and drive the performance of the plant. You will own quality, meet production targets, and optimize cycle times and scrap, while guiding technicians and cross-functional teams toward excellence.

You will launch new products, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and apply lean methods to reduce waste.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Plastics Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in plastics processing or related field.
Strong leadership and core competencies.
Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead the injection molding function for current production and achieve plant goals.
Continuously improve cycle times and reduce scrap (OEE).
Own and drive key performance metrics with plant leadership.
Develop Set Up Technicians and die setters to build capability.
Drive continuous improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
Manage tooling budget and maintenance through EAM systems.
Coordinate tooling quoting and procurement activities.
Support mold tryouts and processing activities.
Provide technical training and collaborate with Supply Chain scheduling.
