Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years in an IT engineering role.
• SDLC milestones and concepts knowledge.
• Experience with on-prem perimeter security like proxies and NGFW.
• Experience with cloud perimeter controls such as WAF, DoS, and ZTNA products.
• Experience creating engineering specs, runbooks, and playbooks.
• 2+ years in an IT security role
• Scripting: PowerShell and Python
• AWS and/or Azure certification
• Proficiency with WAF, NGFW, Secure Web Gateway, and ZTNA
• Familiar with RFI/RFP processes

Responsibilities

• Serve as tier 4 support during standard work hours and be on a rotation to support after hours support
• Assist with driving operational excellence by enhancing capabilities and their supporting eco-systems and the capability knowledge base

Your Team & Role

As a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer - Perimeter Security on the Security Services Data Protection team, you will deliver security controls to the enterprise to meet security requirements. You will partake in a systems development lifecycle to integrate security controls into existing infrastructure while minimizing operational risks and you will provide support to existing controls.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

Required Qualifications And Skillsets

• 5 to 10+ years of experience in an IT engineering role
• Working knowledge of IT engineering concepts and the key milestones of a systems development lifecycle
• Fundamental knowledge of on-premises perimeter security controls, such as web proxies and next generation firewalls
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud based perimeter security controls, such as WAF, Denial of service, and Zero Trust products (Z-Scaler ZTNA product suite)
• Experience with the creation of technical documents, such as engineering specifications, runbooks, and playbooks

Preferred Qualifications And Skillsets

• 2+ years in an IT Security Role
• Basic scripting ability, using mainstream languages such as PowerShell and Python
• AWS and/or Azure certification
• Proficiency with one of the following security capabilities: WAF, NGFW, Secure Web Gateway, and Z-Scaler ZTNA product suite
• Familiarity with RFI/RFP processes

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $133,600.00 to $220,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
