Job summary

The Goddard School of Pasadena, MD seeks an energetic Teacher to support early childhood education in a safe, dynamic environment. You will plan, present, and evaluate activities for children, maintain ratios, and communicate with parents daily to share progress and adventures.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, 90 Hour Certification, Infant & Toddler certifications, MSDE trainings, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of previous teaching experience in a licensed child care setting.
• 90 Hour Certification (45 Growth & Development & 45 Methods & Materials).
• 45 Infant & Toddler certifications.
• MSDE trainings (ADA, Breastfeeding).
• Must meet background check eligibility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Qualifications

90 Hour Certification (45 Growth & Development & 45 Methods & Materials)

45 Infant & Toddler certification

Completed MSDE Trainings (ADA, Breastfeeding)

1-2 years of previous experience required (to be a lead)

Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members

Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib

Meets background check eligibility

This is a 32+ hour, Monday through Friday schedule No Exceptions
