Job summary

The Learning Experience in Fort Collins seeks a dedicated Lead Teacher to lead an infant classroom and collaborate with fellow teachers. You will mentor peers, manage a safe and nurturing space, and implement the LEAP Curriculum® to meet each child's needs.

Strong communication with families and a growth mindset are essential while contributing to enrollment and community engagement efforts at our center.

Qualifications

• Qualified or seeking Early Childhood Educator Qualifications as required by Colorado
• 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred; at least six months required
• DP knowledge (developmentally appropriate practices)
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Background checks FBI/CBI/Trails cleared
• Strong written and spoken communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead an infant classroom, partnering with other lead teachers
• Coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; provide feedback
• Manage the classroom to ensure a safe, nurturing, engaging learning environment
• Serve as a role model with a growth mindset to inspire learning
• Implement LEAP Curriculum® with infants aligned to each child’s needs
• Create a safe environment where children can play and learn
• Regularly communicate with parents about their child’s progress
• Support center goals around enrollment and engagement
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to foster a dynamic learning atmosphere
