Job summary
Randstad USA in Stratford, CT is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician on the first shift to maintain, repair, and optimize facility equipment, wiring, and complex mechanical systems.
You will troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and drive systems, perform design and sizing calculations, and ensure NEC-compliant safety during high-speed manufacturing operations. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on a day shift.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Proven track record maintaining facility electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on troubleshooting, programming, and diagnostics for PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Keyence, GE Fanuc), VFDs, and drive systems to keep high-speed production running.
- Diagnose root-cause electrical issues—from field devices and sensors to MCCs and main control panels—maximizing efficiency.
- Guide teams of journeymen and apprentices on complex industrial builds, upgrades, and maintenance overhauls.
- Perform electrical system design, blueprint reading, and conduit/wire-sizing calculations for integrated power and control solutions.
- Oversee industrial construction, facility automation, and installations from scope through commissioning and budgeting.
- Apply NEC code compliance and safety protocols to protect crew and infrastructure.
