Job summary

Pillar Innovations is seeking a Lead Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in diverse industrial settings. The role involves leading and mentoring entry level electricians such as electrical apprentices, and working with low and high voltage applications across construction, manufacturing, power plants, and more.

The position requires 3+ years of electrical experience, a Journeyman license (WV preferred) and the ability to obtain WV license within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical experience or equivalent/relevant education preferred.
• Experience in industrial electrical preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Possess a Journeyman License (WV preferred) and required to obtain WV Journeyman License within 6 months from hire.
• Possess basic knowledge of NEC, electrical theory, and AC/DC circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuitry, and schematics.
• Must be dependable and have a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work well with others and act in a respectful manner towards co-workers and customers.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
• Ability to take accurate measurements.
• Aptitude for leadership and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities.
• Install electrical components such as motor control centers, transformers, instrumentation, switch gears, PLC controls.
• Run conduit and cable trays to electrical devices.
• Pull wire to termination boxes and panels.
• Load and unload tools, materials, equipment.
• Read and follow NEC codes, diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues with minimal supervision.
• Drive ground rods and install grounding grids.
• Lead smaller jobs as required and mentor apprentices.
• Assist with paperwork and documentation for accurate records.
