Job summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems in Lafayette, LA seeks an experienced instrumentation and controls engineer to lead and execute PLC/HMI/DCS projects for municipal water and wastewater facilities. You will design control architectures, support panel design, and drive commissioning activities.

Strong background in Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens SIMATIC 505, and HMIs is required, with travel to sites as needed. PE is a strong plus and communication with clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years with SIMATIC 505 hardware and AB ControlLogix PLCs.
• Strong communication (written and oral) skills.
• Experience leading projects and interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute AB PLC-based control projects for a team of Engineers.
• Design control system architecture including AB and Siemens hardware.
• Troubleshoot legacy SIMATIC 505 and migrate to Rockwell PLC with IFIX/VTScada/Wonderware HMIs.
• Design and support secure control network implementations.
• Mentor project engineers throughout the lifecycle.
• Interface with customers and management to report status and risks.
• Lead projects with customer stakeholders.
• Understand water and wastewater treatment plants and lift stations.
