Job summary

Community Horizons in Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate Home Caregiver to provide one-on-one support in a private residence in Waupun. The role includes daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, medication assistance, and light housekeeping, with a schedule that alternates weekends and weekdays.

Ideal candidates are dependable, respectful, able to work with a person who has quadriplegia, comfortable around pets, and willing to learn.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy.
• Physically able to assist a person with quadriplegia.
• Prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs.
• Professional, respectful communication.
• Comfortable around pets.
• Lives within 30 minutes of Waupun.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist with transfers using a Hoyer lift
• Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, hygiene, toileting
• Assist with repositioning
• Prepare meals and support with eating and hydration
• Offer medication assistance
• Complete light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, mopping, etc.)
• Run occasional errands
• Help maintain a warm, empowering home environment
