Job summary

Alameda Health System seeks an experienced Intensivist in Oakland, CA to provide comprehensive critical care across Highland General Hospital. You will lead daily triage rounds, perform critical care consultations, and supervise invasive procedures while optimizing ICU bed use.

The role reports to the Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care and requires an MD/DO, completion of Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship, California license, and board eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of accredited ACGME or AOA Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship.
• Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care; valid California medical license; DEA number.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care and ICU support, including daily triage rounds and Critical Care consultations.
• Coordinate patient care with ED and specialists; manage Code Blues and invasive procedures.
• Ensure timely medical records with hospital policies; participate in education and program development.
