Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our growing team. This role supports design, evaluation, and commissioning across power projects with a strong focus on SCADA and PLC systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE registration preferred.
• At least 5 years' instrumentation and controls engineering experience in the power generation market.
• Familiarity with control system programming concepts and SCADA/PLC experience; DCS desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support I&C projects on power facilities with SCADA upgrades and other I&C tasks.
• Evaluate engineering techniques and apply criteria for projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet contract requirements and proposals.
• Develop client proposals and project cost estimates; lead feasibility and planning studies.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate design efforts with cross-disciplinary teams.
