Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks an experienced Lead/Journeyman HVAC Technician for data center environments in Dallas. You will lead critical HVAC projects, coordinate with contractors, and troubleshoot VRF and traditional systems to ensure uptime and reliability.

You will mentor junior technicians, collaborate with BMS engineers, and support commissioning, start-up, and training activities in a fast-paced, critical-infrastructure setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC service work experience, preferably in data centers.
• Strong knowledge of BAS/BMS and controls integration.
• Experience leading projects or teams and coordinating critical upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Project coordination: manage equipment delivery, order specs, shipping damage checks, and on-site logistics.
• Installation support: assist contractors during mobilization and ensure safety and schedules.
• Pre-energization inspection: verify readiness after installation.
• Controls integration: validate PLCs, BMS communication, and HVAC interfaces.
• Equipment startup: lead energization and record performance data with engineers.
• Commissioning support: verify alarms and scripted tests; assist training and warranties.
