MAJOR HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING in Denver, CO seeks a skilled Lead HVAC Service Technician. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and replace defective parts, and install HVAC systems across residential and commercial settings.

The role emphasizes customer satisfaction and system optimization. Candidates should have at least 3 years of HVAC experience, NATE certification, and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience.
• NATE Certification required.
• Universal EPA Certification required.
• Knowledge of HVAC theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will work with various system components to maintain, diagnose, and resolve HVAC system issues. This includes replacing parts and adjusting system controls for optimal performance using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.

Job Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems.


• Troubleshoot and replace defective parts in non-working units.


• Install refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, pneumatic control, and humidity control systems.

Understand and troubleshoot

• Basic knowledge of electricity and control systems.


• Ability to apply HVAC mechanical theory and techniques.


• Ability to read and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.


• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, lift, and move heavy objects.

Additional Skills Desired

• Trade school education preferred.


• Journeyman license preferred but not required.


• Chiller experience is a plus.
