Professor Gatsby’s Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical in West Berlin, NJ, seeks a Lead HVAC Technician to head an install crew on high-efficiency residential and light commercial projects. You will manage a small team, perform full one-day furnace and split-AC installations, and coordinate with homeowners and the office to ensure timely, high-quality work.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional HVAC installation experience.
• Perform full split-system replacements, including venting and line sets, within a one-day timeframe.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform all manual tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated installation crew to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Execute full one-day installations of furnace and AC split systems (80% and 90%+ efficiency).
• Manage venting and line set replacements for optimal performance and safety.
• Coordinate communication between homeowners and office to ensure transparency.
• Mentor junior team members through on-site training and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot real-time mechanical issues to avoid delays and ensure service quality.
