Job summary

F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, & Electrical is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer for residential projects in Fredericksburg, VA. You will install, test, and commission HVAC systems, working with a team to meet project specs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience as HVAC Installer with knowledge of residential systems.
• Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and safety standards for HVAC installation.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient with hand and power tools used in HVAC installation and repair.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license; 21+ years old required.

Responsibilities

• Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings.
• Collaborate with team to plan and execute installations per specs and standards.
• Measure and cut materials for installation including ductwork and piping.
• Connect systems to ductwork, wiring, and controls; ensure safe operation.
• Test systems; troubleshoot and adjust as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain system operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings, ensuring proper functionality and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute HVAC installations according to project specifications and industry standards
• Measure and cut materials to fit installation requirements, including ductwork, piping, and electrical components
• Connect HVAC systems to existing ductwork, wiring, and control systems, ensuring proper operation and adherence to safety regulations
• Test installed HVAC systems to verify functionality, troubleshoot any issues, and make adjustments as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining system operation, and offering maintenance tips
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Complete installation documentation accurately and promptly, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC vocational training program preferred
• Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or similar role, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to HVAC installation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Proficient with hand and power tools commonly used in HVAC installation and repair
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Valid Driver's License A valid driver's license is required for this role. Company policy requires that all drivers be at least 21 years old
