Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is seeking a Lead Installer to manage installation projects from start to finish. You will guide helpers, ensure quality and safety, and communicate clearly with customers and the office. The role supports growth within a growing Indiana-based company with multiple locations.

The position emphasizes leading teams, maintaining a professional environment, and adhering to company policies while delivering excellent service to clients in the region.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to braze and solder equipment as needed.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.

As a Lead Installer, you are responsible for leading installation projects from start to finish. You guide helpers, ensure quality work, and make sure each job is completed safely and

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and coworkers
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions
• Positive attitude required and must be able to promote a professional, and friendly work environment
• Work hard, smart and efficiently
• Follow the outline of company policies and procedures
• Wear floor savers while in the client's home. Use drop cloths to protect the client's floors while performing an installation. Always maintain a neat work area where you are working
• Re-check each aspect of an installation before leaving the job to prevent unnecessary callbacks after the job is finished. Use the Installation Excellence Form for re-checking
• Always explain the system to the client when finished with an installation and make sure that they are 100% satisfied with the work
• Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving, and make sure that the assistant installer is also working safely and neatly
• Maintain a production level minimum as determined by management and the annual plan
• Perform full system change-outs in a timely fashion as determined by the manager
• Keep trucks neat and clean on the inside and outside at all times
• Must adhere to all company policies and codes when performing installation jobs
• Other duties as assigned
