Job summary

ENFRA in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Install Service Technician III - HVAC to lead installation projects and commission HVAC/refrigeration systems on site. You will manage crews on crane-involved projects and install or replace boilers, rooftops, AHUs, and VRF/DOAS units, ensuring safe, efficient startup and commissioning of DX equipment and pumps.

The role requires strong mechanical drawing interpretation, shop drawing creation, and knowledge of VRF, chiller systems, DDC, and VFD operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipefitting.
• Experience in minor ductwork making transitions to HVAC equipment.
• Startup & Commissioning experience.
• Crane signaling and rigging experience.
• Working knowledge of a VRF system.
• Working knowledge of a chiller, cooling tower, and pumps.
• Working knowledge of DDC system operations.
• Working knowledge of a VFD and its function.
• Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew on projects involving a crane.
• Install or replace boilers, rooftops, unit heaters, WSHP, EF, AHU, etc.
• Start up and commission DX equipment, chilled water AHUs, VFDs, FCUs, packaged units including VRF/DOAS units, cooling towers and pumps, boilers, hot water heaters.
• Read and interpret elevation drawings and installation techniques.
• Create shop drawings from mechanical drawings.
• Understand equipment submittals and their usage.
• Identify and sketch components of HVAC & refrigeration systems.
• Promote and perform all safety procedures and policies.
