Job summary

The Ohio Department of Public Safety, Rehabilitation & Correction - Trumbull Correctional Institution, seeks a skilled Air Quality Technician 2 to lead HVAC maintenance efforts. You will install, repair and service complex HVAC systems and supervise incarcerated workers while following security protocols.

Qualifications include EPA 608 certification and HVAC experience, plus blueprint reading and tool operation knowledge.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification required with Type I/II/III or Universal.
• 6 months verifiable experience in HVAC maintenance, repair or installation.
• 1 course or 3 months in blueprint reading.
• 1 course or 3 months in hand & power tool operation.
• 1 course or 3 months in minor welding operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead worker over HVAC technicians and incarcerated individuals in installation, maintenance and repair.
• Perform highly skilled maintenance and installation work on HVAC equipment.
• Inspect operation of equipment and perform preventative maintenance schedules.
• Repair air conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems.
• Read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Maintain inventory of HVAC supplies and tools.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Attend trainings, seminars and meetings.
• Perform other duties including snow removal and grass cutting.
