Job summary

Stellar Senior Living’s Grand community in Spokane is seeking a Lead Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping for a large senior living campus. The role focuses on delivering clean, safe living spaces and providing excellent resident service, with daily oversight and collaboration with supervisors.

The ideal candidate has prior housekeeping experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule in collaboration with Supervisor.

• Work independently with integrity.

Job Description

Our Housekeepers ensure our residential living areas are clean and serviced to high standards, as well as work one-on-one with the residents to maintain a clean apartment, per the residents desired services. The ideal candidate will excel in working as an independent agent in the community while also being able to provide top customer service experience to residents, guests, and coworkers as needed. This candidate must also be comfortable working in a Memory Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Supervisor to maintain schedule
• Mentors housekeeping staff
• Monitors supply inventory
• Maintains a stocked cleaning cart, with a full knowledge of all products being utilized
• Cleans assigned resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures
• Complies with infection prevention and safety standards
• Functions independently with integrity
• Communicates successfully with residents, vendors, and coworkers
• Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPAA).

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Housekeeper or experience in a related field highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and written in English.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly.
