Job summary

Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, OR is seeking a Lead Housekeeper to supervise daily housekeeping operations and ensure high cleanliness standards across guestrooms, public areas, laundry, and maintenance areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of the Housekeeping Department including attendants, inspectors, and laundry staff.
• Inspect guestrooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards and correct deficiencies.
• Review laundry, break areas, and storage areas for cleanliness and order.
• Maintain housekeeping carts to standard and ensure supply levels.
• Monitor washers and dryers and report maintenance needs.
• Control room keys per policies and procedures.
• Log lost and found items for timely returns.
• Address guest complaints and resolve issues as needed.
• Suggest improvements to procedures to enhance quality and safety.
• Follow Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting with the supervision and completion of the Housekeeping Department’s assigned tasks in a timely and responsible manner ensuring quality control and the highest possible standards of friendliness and cleanliness.

Essential Functions

• Assists with all aspects of daily operations of the Housekeeping Department including the Room Attendants, Room Inspectors, House Persons, Laundry Attendants, and Deep Clean Specialists.
• Inspects guestroom and public areas for cleanliness standards, correcting deficiencies with housekeeping personnel, maintaining quality work performance.
• Reviews cleanliness standards in the laundry, employee break areas, and room attendant’s storage/supply areas.
• Ensures housekeeping carts are kept up to standards.
• Reviews daily maintenance of washers and dryers.
• Reviews room key and master key control by housekeeping personnel to ensure that strict compliance with policies and procedures are in place.
• Logs lost and found items daily for a timely return of property.
• Resolve customer complaints as needed.
• Recommends measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase quality and enhance job safety.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
• Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in program processes or services.
• Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
• Manages employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices, and customer care are enforced.
• Maintains effective communication within the team and attends meetings and training sessions when required.
• Trains employees in designated areas and monitor’s progress.
• Trains and develops staff on the correct and proper use of all departmental equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies.
• Assigns daily tasks assignments for the Housekeeping Department.
• Identifies & reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Responds and assists to potential guest service needs inside the arcade, hotel fitness room, and the hotel pool area.
• All other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

• Bi-Lingual preferred.
• Must have basic mechanical and electrical knowledge for general maintenance as it relates to light maintenance, fixtures, AC units, appliance replacement, drapery rods, etc.
• Must obtain Siletz Tribal Gaming License; to respond to guest service needs at the arcade, which is not located at the Hotel Property.

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
