Job summary

Marriott-International is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for an in-person role in Buffalo, NY. You will oversee daily engineering operations, ensure preventive maintenance, and manage a team to maintain building systems and guest areas.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with hotel leadership, and responding to engineering emergencies while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have stationary Engineer license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a large facility or hotel.
• Training in refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical is a must.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety rules, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with and completion of daily operational procedures by the Engineering Department.
• Maintain facility and grounds quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Establish, maintain, and train standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of all HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program with documentation of work performed.
• Respond to engineering and emergency-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities: training, planning, directing, and evaluating staff.
• Communicate with Chief Engineer, General Manager, and other Department Managers.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to inquiries, regardless of time of day.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
