Job summary

Washington County Public Schools is seeking a Head Coach Cheerleading for Clear Spring High School for the 2026-2027 season. The position leads the cheer program, plans practices, and oversees competitions, ensuring safety and positive student outcomes.

The role requires three years of coaching at high school or college level and experience as a player at those levels. A 21+ age minimum and a high school diploma or GED are required, with enrollment in a one-credit course in athletic injury

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Completed or willing to enroll in a one-credit course in the prevention and care of athletic injuries.
• In this sport - three (3) years of coaching experience at the high school or college level, and experience as a player at the high school and/or college level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the cheerleading program at Clear Spring High School.
• Plan and supervise practices and competitions for the cheer team.
• Ensure safety, sportsmanship, and compliance with school policies during all athletic activities.
