Insight Global is seeking to hire a Heavy Structures Mechanical Engineer in Greenville, TX. You will apply engineering design principles to develop aircraft heavy structures designs. Responsibilities include designing structural drawings, leading junior engineers, and coordinating across departments. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in relevant engineering and 6+ years of experience in aircraft mechanical engineering. The role offers an hourly rate of $50 to $85, commensurate with experience, and includes a comprehensive benefit package.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or related Engineering discipline required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft mechanical engineering.
Proven experience in designing aircraft structures for fixed-wing aircraft.
Responsibilities
Design, model, and draft structural engineering drawings for aircraft modifications.
Lead junior engineers in heavy structure engineering development.
Coordinate design activities with various departments.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or related Engineering discipline
6+ years of aircraft mechanical engineering experience
Proven experience designing primary and secondary aircraft structures
Advanced proficiency using Siemens NX for 3D modeling
Hands-on experience designing detail parts and assemblies
Working knowledge of aircraft loads and load paths
Strong understanding of metallic aircraft materials
Experience creating installation drawings
Education
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline
