Job summary

gpac is seeking a Project Manager in the Des Moines area to lead roadway construction, sitework, and underground utilities projects. You will oversee all project phases, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience in roadway, sitework, or utilities, and familiarity with PM software such as HCSS HeavyJob, MS Project, Primavera, or Procore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in roadway construction, sitework, or utilities.
• Proficiency with PM software such as HCSS HeavyJob, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Procore.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close projects, managing schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Direct project teams, subcontractors, engineers, and field crews to meet objectives.
• Track costs, prepare budgets, and manage change orders for profitability.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specs, and regulatory requirements through site inspections.
• Lead safety programs, conduct meetings, and enforce OSHA protocols.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent delays or disputes.
• Maintain detailed project records, progress reports, and closeout documents.
