Job summary

Dekker’s Healthcare Studio is seeking a Project Architect to lead the technical development and coordination of complex healthcare architecture projects. The ideal candidate brings strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and the ability to translate design intent into thoughtful, coordinated, and constructible solutions.

Responsibilities include leading development through all phases, collaborating with project managers, and mentoring staff while ensuring compliance with health care

Qualifications

• Active architectural license in a U.S. state.
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or similar field.
• 7–10 years of architectural experience, with demonstrated healthcare projects.
• Strong detailing, building systems, construction documentation, specs, and admin knowledge.
• Experience with healthcare design requirements, codes, accessibility, life-safety, and regulatory processes.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving to lead technical discussions.
• Ability to balance design intent with constructability, schedule, and budget.
• ACHA, EDAC, or other healthcare credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural and technical development of healthcare projects from concept through construction administration and closeout.
• Translate design concepts into coordinated, constructible architectural solutions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to align design with scope, schedule, budget, and milestones.
• Lead development, coordination, and quality review of project documentation.
• Apply healthcare planning, codes, accessibility, life safety, and regulatory knowledge.
