Job summary

Core & Main in Provo seeks a Lead Mechanic to deliver HDPE piping fusion solutions and respond to critical field repairs. You will work with McElroy fusion equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality on installations.

The role requires reading schematics, operating hydraulic and electrical systems, and occasional overnight travel to support field service. Office base is in Provo with potential travel to nearby regions.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• 3+ years diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining McElroy fusion equipment or similar.
• Knowledge of polyethylene pipe fusion equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare records on maintenance, repairs and fuel levels.
• Maintain decals, safety warnings and company ID stickers.
• Complete work orders for repairs.
• Repair power and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles and refuel equipment.
• Prepare equipment for rental and inspect returns.
• Report safety violations to supervisor.
