Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. in Mountain View, CA seeks a Lead Harness Engineer/Manager to own harness architecture across the autonomous vehicle platform.

This hands-on leader will set standards, drive cross-functional alignment, and mentor engineers in high‑speed, high‑power harness design. You'll manage supplier relationships, oversee make/buy decisions, and guide engineering reviews with Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware development in automotive/aerospace or similar safety-critical fields.
• Proven leadership of harness design teams and design/quality standards.
• Strong documentation, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead harness architecture and strategy for vehicle platform including high speed, low voltage, and high power.
• Set design standards, reviews, and DFx/DFM practices for schematics and interconnects.
• Drive make/buy and supplier strategy; manage external manufacturing partners.
• Oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical systems.
• Define automated harness validation tooling and testing strategy.
• Mentor harness and electrical engineers and lead a team.
