Job summary

KB Signaling is seeking a Product Support Hardware Engineer to design, develop and maintain embedded hardware for real-time systems in harsh environments. You will work with the Product Support Team, Production, Sourcing and Field Service to resolve production and field issues, and to implement design changes.

The ideal candidate holds a BSEE or equivalent, has 10+ years in digital hardware design, has VHDL/FPGA experience, and is proficient with DFT/DFM and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent degree.
• 10 years’ minimum experience in digital hardware design and board-level work.
• Experience with VHDL/FPGA and analog circuit design.
• DFT and DFM background.
• Proficiency with simulation tools.
• Ability to design for high noise and harsh environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain hardware for embedded, real-time systems operating in harsh environments.
• Troubleshoot product and field issues and provide solutions; implement design changes.
• Lead a critical design from concept to production release and drive issues to closure.
• Generate and review technical documentation; provide product training and advise on options.
