Job summary

TruBlue of The Woodlands is seeking a Full-Time Lead Handyman in Austin, TX. This foundational hire will work closely with the franchise owner to establish a growing home services business. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality home repairs while communicating effectively with customers and mentoring new technicians.

Applicants should have over 10 years of hands-on experience in home repair and a strong skill set in carpentry. Full benefits and room for growth are offered in this leadership role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on residential home repair or remodeling experience.
• Broad multi-trade skill set with strong carpentry foundation.
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring other technicians is preferred.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for photos and scheduling apps.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to complete background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality home repair projects.
• Represent TruBlue in customers’ homes with clear communication.
• Provide on-site estimates for additional work.
• Support day-to-day operations: scheduling input, materials, quality control.
• Document work with photos and complete job paperwork.
• Lead and mentor new Tru‑Pro® technicians.
